Cambridge University Press is a non-profit publishing organization dedicated to promoting the advancement of knowledge, learning, education and research all over the world. It has a history of 478 years. Academic journals published by Cambridge University Press cover many fields of humanities, social sciences and natural sciences, especially in mathematics, physics, materials science, environmental science and resource protection, agriculture and life sciences, neuroscience, history, and regional studies , Economics, Languages and Linguistics, Political Science and International Relations, Law and other fields.
Cambridge University Press has digitized all the previous volumes of all Cambridge journals that are available, back to the first issue of volume one. The Cambridge Journal Retrospective Database with excellent quality, convenient retrieval and rich content was born from this. The 2011 version of Retrospective Data contains 207 excellent academic journals, with a retrospective time span from 1770 to 1996 or so. A total of more than 4.5 million pages of content. Among them, the corresponding current journals of 158 journals were included by SCI/SSCI/AHCI (JCR2011), and the inclusion ratio reached 76.3%. The Cambridge Journals 2011 Retrospective Library contains approximately 56.5% of the humanities and social sciences content, and approximately 43.5% of the natural sciences content.
In the Cambridge Journals Retrospective Database, there are 131 social science journals and 76 natural science journals, most of which are subjects with long half-lives and have high retrospective value. Especially in the humanities and social sciences, it has been widely recognized in the global academic community and libraries.
