China Digital Book Garden is a professional and high-quality Chinese digital content integration service platform launched by Founder Apabi. It contains most of the full-text resources of books since the founding of the People’s Republic of China in the form of a database. At the same time, it integrates heterogeneous resources on the basis of resource reading. Search portal, built-in massive metadata storage, integrate various resource types such as books, journal articles, and dissertations from other database vendors, to provide a one-stop search platform.
The library contains the following resource modules:
Basic services: full-text search and online reading of about 1.8 million e-books, 4 million e-book searches, 200,000 bibliographic information, 490,000 author information, massive newspapers, yearbooks, reference books, pictures, and abstract content browsing. It can support resource multi-screen multiplexing functions, including mobile terminal reading service, touch screen reading service, WeChat reading service, etc. Special packaging services can be provided 3 times a year.
E-books: full-text search of about 1.1 million e-books, selected about 850,000 kinds of books for readers to read online, download and borrow, QR code scanning and mobile terminal reading services.
Digital newspaper: Full-text search and online browsing services for the current newspaper data of about 500 kinds of newspapers at all levels and various types across the country.
Yearbook: Online browsing and retrieval services for about 1,600 yearbook entries and full texts.
Reference books: online browsing and retrieval services of approximately 1,900 reference book entries and full texts.

The database covers disciplines: Marxist-Leninist-Mao-Deng, philosophy, social sciences, politics and law, military, economics, culture, science, education, sports, literature, art and other Chinese library disciplines
Database characteristics:
(1) The database resources are relatively new, and new books published after 2005 account for 80%;
(2) The quality of the resource content is guaranteed, the types are complete, and the quantity is abundant;
(3) Audio, video, animation and other multimedia files can be inserted into the book, and the pictures and texts are combined to realize the co-occurrence of audio and video;
(4) The search function is powerful.
Readers can use the database outside the school through remote access and CARSI.
