"Taiwan Academic Literature Database" is composed of "Science Database" and "Human Social Database", and is the largest academic database in Taiwan. The library contains 1819 journals and more than 550,000 journal articles, as well as more than 110,000 dissertations from 55 universities in Taiwan, with a total of more than 660,000 articles. The library contains 75% of the journals in the Taiwan Science Core Journal Index (TSCI), 85% of the Taiwan Humanities Core Journal Index (THCI Core), and 89% of the Taiwan Social Science Core Journal Index (TSSCI), totaling Taiwan More than 80% of core journals have collected more than 30,000 Taiwan University dissertations, accounting for about 1/3 of the total number of dissertations.
The database covers disciplines: humanities, basic and applied sciences, medicine and health, biological agriculture, engineering, and social sciences. At present, the library purchases the Human and Social Library, and all articles in the Social Library can download the full text, but the scientific library can only read abstracts, so it is hereby explained.
Database characteristics:
1. Provide simple search, advanced search, and post classification screening functions.
2. Provide Simplified and Traditional Chinese mutual search: support Simplified and Traditional Chinese mutual search
3. Provide a document reader, which can be read online in simplified Chinese.
4. Provide cross-strait user conversion: In view of the differences in professional terms across the Strait, provide conversion and mutual inspection, including cross-strait related term conversion mechanisms (such as: computers and calculators, consultation and information, hepatitis A and hepatitis A, etc.).
